The Macrodon Experience: Creatures With A Personality All There Own

I have never been big into the art scene - well, I am partial to a bit of Banksy and I do like to collect canvas art prints of his - however, I know what I like when I see it. Most of what I see is stuffy and cliché. My favorite artist currently is a little known painter and sculptor named Billy Zinser. He works in Dallas and makes art toys that he calls Macrodons. Think kid robot, but less plastic and more organic. I actually found out about this guy by accident when I swung into Red’s Pop Shop a few months ago. The colors and shapes used in his Macrodons are amazing and really fun to have around the house as conversational pieces and hip artwork. They are adult enough to keep on display, but playful enough to be unique. He also sells pins and t-shirts with his creations on them if you want to share your love of his art toys but don’t want to carry them around with you in your pocket.
