If yo have a PPC Management company working for you, then it is likely that they will use a tool to manage your PPC campaign. It is important to know a bit about the various tools and which they are using.
Sometimes the tools are very expensive and it means that much of the money you are spending on the PPC management services are spent on this tool. This means that there is much less room in your budget for you to have money to spend on the actual services on an expert getting your campaign right.
Many of these pieces of software only work well if your keywords are good quality ones. This means that they are already bringing in a decent amount of traffic. If they are not performing well then the tools will be not much use.
Some companies will not use a sophisticated tool but will just record statistics using a spreadsheet and do all of the calculations themselves,. This can be a much better method because they will be able to tailor things specifically for you and you will not be spending money on software.
What the software can do is to find a keyword which is cheaper. They will try to get you the lowest price per click through which is great, because it keep s your costs down however, if you have an individual working this out for you, you are likely to get a better service.
However, only by comparing performance between the different companies, will you be able to work out which might be better.
With so many different factors that you will need to compare between companies such as performance, price, expertise etc, you will need to think about the tools they use alongside everything else, in order to decide which will be the best for you.
